چکیده
Benzalkonium chloride (BAC) is a chlorine-based chemical compound with proven antimicrobial properties against bacteria, viruses, and fungi, depending on the length of alkyl chain. It can be used as biocide, cationic surfactant, phase transfer agent. The aim this study was to investigate effectiveness commercial cleaning agents for sanitary areas Bis duo Active (BDA) BAC an active in working concentrations 5% 20% destruction bacterial biofilm formed ceramic tiles. A Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enterica serotype Typhimurium, Listeria monocytogenes were grown tiles dimensions 2.5 × cm over 24 h. These plates then treated 10 min. After washing, ATP bioluminescence measured luminometer, CFU/cm2 determined total biomass reduction after crystal-violet staining. Both benzalkonium proved very effective destroying created treatments caused bacteria number up 3.12 log10CFU/cm2, followed by circa (ca.) 64%. Inhibition rates varied from ca. 28% 99%, method concentration used. Mechanical prior or treatment essential improve destruction. All methods are determination anti-biofilm activity BAC. Further analyses needed.

متن کاملBiofilm Structure of Foodborne Pathogens
The ability of many bacteria to adhere to surfaces and to form biofilms has major implications in a variety of industries including the food industry, where biofilms create a persistent source of contamination. It is reported that biofilms are more resistant to antimicrobials compared to planktonic cells. The colonization of bacteria on the food processing surfaces and even the food structure, ...
